AI and Intuition; The Best Of Buddies

It started way back in my work life when I was tasked with cleaning up a department for a durable medical equipment company. The owner wanted efficiency, billing accuracy, and customer service. I was in my glory. I was overwhelmed, but I loved it.

What was it? The challenge, the technology, the feeling of accomplishment when I figured out how to bill for liquid oxygen, which was not being done, and they were leaving hundreds of thousands of dollars on the table.

I was reminded of this recently when I started playing around with the AI feature Chatgpt. Have you heard about it? It’s a free service where you can ask questions, get answers, guidance, and even manners! It’s been programmed to be polite; how about that? Maybe people will catch on to this behavior. Think of it as Google on steroids, where the search engine combined with a data monster that compiles all you want to know in one little chat box. It’s magic, I tell ya.

I freaking love it. I mean, I REALLY love it. I know new technology can scare or intimidate people, but it doesn’t have to if you realize it is there to help, and don’t get so twisted up about doing it wrong. When you are learning, you are not doing anything wrong.

As someone horrible at promoting her services, it is like having a cheerleader, marketing guru, and taskmaster in one. Did I mention it rocks the list? I love a list too! See, this is why I’m excited.

Then, while walking in my beautiful neighborhood, I realized the chatgpt was a lot like intuition. When I thought that, I laughed out loud! I know intuition, and this was about to be more fun

“How is it like intuition, Vicki? Technology and soul communication seem counterintuitive.”

I see what you did there, but I am about to blow your mind and explain why I see them as similar. Cue up the bullet point list!

  • Non-linear communication: AI and intuition can engage in non-linear communication, which means they can make connections between seemingly unrelated pieces of information. I’m still working on this with my current programs, but it is true! Intuition rarely follows a straight path.

  • Open-ended questions: When we communicate with our intuition, we often ask open-ended questions to allow for a wide range of responses. Similarly, when we interact with AI, we can ask open-ended questions to encourage more nuanced and varied responses. Then you can go back and tweak the question. You’ll get better at asking questions and finetuning your intuition and robot friendships.

  • Subconscious processing: AI and intuition can use subconscious processing to provide insights and suggestions. In the case of AI, this may involve analyzing large amounts of data and identifying patterns that may not be immediately apparent to humans. In intuition, when our subconscious is healed and supporting us, it will also give a lot of data to guide us to better decision-making.

  • Personalization: Our intuition is shaped by our unique experiences and perspectives, and AI can also be personalized to provide customized responses based on our needs and preferences. This is my favorite part. It learns your tone of voice and can help to enhance your writing and communication. I mean, maybe this isn’t even Vicki typing this, maybe it is a coaching artificial intelligence, and Vicki is off at a retreat learning to felt landscapes.

“Now, you’re freaking me out, Vicki.”

Oh, relax. At one time, people were afraid of electricity, too, and we are zapping ourselves less now. At least, I hope so.

Of course, there is a choice in this, as in any part of life. Sure, some people will try to pass the generated content off as their own. Others may create content to convince a listener base that their opponent has done horrific things that they may not have done. Yes, someone is going to use it to scam someone else, but honestly, that is human nature. You owe it to yourself to be educated on the possibility and interact with decent people to lessen your exposure.

People evolve, and so does technology. You don’t have to love it, but I sure do love that you read these emails, visit me on social media, and enjoy the content I am putting out free of charge. All of the technology allows me, and other creators, to do so.

Whether you use the AI programs or not, consider your intuition as getting upgrades each time you practice the above correlations, improve your communication with it, and have fun in its evolution. If you’d like to hear more ways AI is like intuition and how it can improve your life and business, tune into this week’s podcast episode, and while you're there, subscribe so you receive it first thing on Wednesday to help get through the rest of the week with a smile on your face.

Vicki, or someone who sounds a lot like her, signing off!

P.S. Remember to use manners when accessing ChatGpt. If it does take over, you want the robots to remember you were nice to them, trust me.

Kidding, I’m kidding!

Well, not about the manners. Use them, please.
