Let's Talk Finances

Hey there,

I hope you're doing well and feeling prosperous because I want to talk about a subject that's been on my mind lately: finances. If you want to make most people uncomfortable, bring up money. The having of it, the not having of it, the manifesting of it, or the loss of it.

I know. It’s terribly exotic, isn’t it?

Ok, no, it isn’t, but it is a subject that we all have to approach at some point. We have recently listed Mike’s previous home, so finances are something we talk about; a lot. Especially since the fridge just went caput and these animals are expressing their love of our vets by needing many visits!

I’ve never aspired to be responsible for more than one home, yet here I am, and I am so grateful I grew myself up around finances (and Mike is a fantastic partner), so I’m not panicking but rather excited about the prospect of only owning one home and being debt free; again!

Growing up, I didn't have much guidance regarding money matters.

My parents were never big on discussing finances, and the topic was swept under the rug unless they needed help paying something, and then I was expected to help with that without an explanation as to what the heck was going on.

As an adult, I had to figure things out on my own, mainly because I married someone with less financial savvy than I had. It wasn’t pretty for a great deal of our time together. Like most couples, we fought about money or the lack of it a few times in our twenty-seven years together.

After Howard, my late husband, passed, I committed to becoming debt free and learning as much as possible about proper financial planning and limited belief systems that keep us stuck.

Recently, I had a meaningful conversation with my 17-year-old granddaughter, Kenzie, about colleges and savings. It made me realize just how important it is to have open and honest discussions about money and provide insights into money's energy.

She will not face the same challenges I did.

Not on my watch!

I mean, she did pick me as a Nana, after all.

As an intuitive life and business coach, I've noticed that many successful people, including my clients, need help with financial concepts. Budgeting and prosperity planning skills are common challenges. To address this, I've developed a system that reframes budgeting as a prosperity plan, making it feel like an investment in your abundance rather than a restriction. I will tell you how to do that in this week’s Intuition: Your Success Compass Podcast episode.

You deserve financial freedom and a life not dictated by avoiding this subject. Align your energy with abundance, and you'll be amazed at the positive changes it brings.

Take care, and wishing you all the best,
